Mother (Agnes Brechin) known as Maisie was married to an Edwards in Scotland. They had three children that we know of, James E, Agnes E and John E. When Edwards died, Agnes remarried James Booth Adam and immigrated to Canada in 1873. The children all were brought up as Adam, whether they were adopted or not is unknown. James B and Agnes had two children together before they came here, William and Helen Jane. After they arrived they had another son Angus.
