George Irvin Crouse died Friday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Dr. Ruth Crouse, in Duncannon. He was 82 years old.
Born in Snyder county, a son of Jackson and Mary Sheaffer Crouse, he came to Losh's Run many years ago where he engaged in farming. His wife, Margaret Delphine Cumbler Crouse, died in 1920. Surviving besides his daughter, Dr. Ruth Crouse, are two sisters, Mrs. Emma Smith, Losh's Run, and Mrs. Annie Metzger, Philadelphia, and one brother, Frank Crouse of Lancaster. Mr. Crouse was supervisor of roads in Wheatfield township.
Funeral services were held at the late home of the deceased at Losh's Run, Monday morning, and burial was made in Newport cemetery.
