Nelson S. Lahman
Petersburg--Nelson S. "Red" Lahman, 48, died yesterday in Grant County Memorial Hospital. He was employed as a farmer.
He was born in Grant County on August 17, 1915 and was a son of Mrs. Beulah (Snyder) Lahman, of Lahmansville, and the late Albert Lahman.
Mr. Lahman was a member of Victory Post 155, American Legion, Westernport, and the Lahmansville EUB Church.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Mrs. Velma (Halterman) Lahman; a daughter, Mrs. Sandra Mowery, Petersburg; a son, Gary Lahman, at home; five sisters, Mrs. Meryam Smith, Winchester; Mrs. Dympsy Rader, Harrison, Ohio; Mrs. Phera Mae Harman and Mrs. Mary Kile, both of Cabins; Mrs Betty Jean Sherman, Hubbard, Ohio; and three brothers, Lynwood Lahman, Washington; Donley Lahman, Springfield, Ohio; and Charles Lahman, Lahmansville.
A funeral service will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Lahmansville EUB Church with Rev. Harding Nelson, pastor, in charge. Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery.

LAHMANSVILLE,WEST VIRGINIA -- Velma Catherine (Halterman) Lahman, age 77, of Lahmansville, W.Va., died Friday, June 4, 1999, at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, W.Va., after a lingering illness of rheumatoid arthritis.
Born Sept. 12, 1921, in Westernport, Md., she was a daughter of the late Oscar C. and Alma E. (Hawk) Halterman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nelson S. ``Red'' Lahman, Aug. 13, 1964; and one brother, Earl C. Halterman, Nov. 2, 1983.
