Wheelan Sikes Buried Glennville Cemetery Friday Afternoon
Funeral services for Wheelan Sikes,40,who died in Miami Wednesday, were held on Friday at 3 p.m. at Glennville Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Henry K. Erwin. Burial was in the Glennville Cemetery.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Robert Simpson, Charlotte, N.C., and Miss Virginia Sikes, Deland, Fla.; three sons, Charles Sikes of Deland, Fla., Riland Sikes of Key West, Fla., and Peyton Sikes, Cottondale, Fla.; and one grandchild; five sisters, Mrs. Dewey Adamson, Mrs. H.B. Stubbs and Mrs. J. Levy Woodcock, all of Glennville; Mrs. Ronell Gooding, Charleston, S.C., and Mrs. Palmer Lanier, Pembroke.
Pallbearers were Red Kirkland, Tommy Kirkland, Carl Kennedy, Winton Dixon, Joe Brown Durrence and Tal Armstrong.
