Cora R. Jackson, 95, died Saturday, Jan. 31, 1998, at 6:35 am at the Fair Haven Shelby County Home, 2901 Fair Road. She had been a resident there since 1985. She was born Nov. 2, 1902, in Sparta, Tenn., daughter of William and Dilla (Britt) Cooper. On Dec. 31, 1917, she was married to William S. Terry and he died in 1948. She was married to Frank Jackson in 1957, and he died in 1960. Survivors include five children, Mrs. Herman (Pauline) Shie, Mrs. Randall (Nadine) Hughes and Mrs. Richard (Lillie) Scherer, all of Sidney, Alvin C. Terry of Tipp City, and Dayle Terry of St. Marys; 17 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Three sons, two sisters and three brothers preceded her in death. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Church of God-Family Ministries Center in Sidney. She was a retired licensed practical nurse from St. Marys Joint Township District Memorial Hospital. Services will be held Tuesday at 10 am at the Cromes Funeral Home with the Rev. George Gnade officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Point Cemetery, Pasco. Friends may call at the funeral home today from 5 to 8 pm. Memorials may be made to Wilson Hospice Care.
