Daniel "Danny" H. Fischer, 49, of Versailles, died Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.

He was born on Oct. 27, 1961, in Lawrenceburg, the son of Ralph and Loa McCauley Fischer. He graduated South Ripley High School in 1979. He worked as a diesel mechanic for Edwards Towing in Versailles. He also worked for Stutler Paving in Milan, Whispering Pines Pay Lake, Southeastern Rural Telephone and as a bartender at the Drake Lounge in Madison. He was a member of the Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Rosebrock, whom he married on April 16, 2005; one son, Gary Fischer of Patriot; two daughters, Amber Fischer of Aurora and Anna Rose Browning of Versailles; two stepchildren, Stephen Huntington II of Osgood and Breanna Huntington of Versailles; two brothers, Jack Fischer of Greendale and Charles Fischer of Aurora; one sister, Ann Edwards of Versailles; and three stepgrandchildren and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services were at Bear Creek Baptist Church in Friendship. Burial was in the Akers Friendship Cemetery.
