Vera Pauline (Moser) Baker, 91, Yale, died Sunday, April 14, 2002. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lawson Cemetery in Yale. Visitation will be held at the Davis-Yale Chapel Tuesday from noon until 8
p.m., Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Services are under the direction of the Davis-Yale Chapel.

Baker was born May 31, 1910, in Yale, where she was reared and educated, to Soloman and Randi Moser.

She was united in marriage to Chesney Henry Baker in 1928 and to this union, one son, Chesney "Chet" Jr., was born.

She and her family moved to California where she worked for W.T. Grant as a manager of the cosmetics department. She returned to Yale in 1977 and continued living there until her death. She enjoyed playing tennis as she was able and gardening.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Chesney H. Baker, her son, Chesney "Chet" H. Baker Jr. and several brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Baker is survived by her four grandchildren, Chesney Baker, Cushing, Dean and Paul Baker, Stroud, and Melissa Baker, Cushing; three great grandchildren Chad and Chet Baker, Stroud, and Jazmine Baker, Cushing; daughter-in-law, Carol Baker, Stroud; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
