He was born October 10, 1871 in South New Berlin, the son of Nelson and Harriet (Green) Sage.
On December 9, 1891, he married Lizzie B. Austin, at the home of the bride's parents, Daniel and Sarah Austin on Great Brook Road, South New Berlin. Lizzie died June 25, 1930. He married 2nd, May Bradley on January 28, 1831 in Broome County. She died October 9, 1951. He married 3rd, January 27, 1952 in Norwich, Mrs. Minnie Clarke.
He is survived by his wife; a niece, Mrs. Bertha Peck of Lima; two nephews; Stanley Angell of Sidney and George Angell of Portland, Oregon as well as step children; nieces; nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Mr. Sage was a member of St. Matthew's Episcopal Church in South New Berlin. He spent his entire life engaged in farming.
Funeral and committal services were held Tuesday afternoon at the late residence in South New Berlin. Rev. Charles Tyler, rector of both St. Andrew's Episcopal Church in New Berlin and St. Matthew's
Episcopal Church in South New Berlin officiated.The body was placed in the Mt. Hope Cemetery vault and burial will tale place in Riverside Cemetery in South New Berlin at a later date.
