Actor. He began his career in 1914, and had a notable role of 'Jesus' in "The King of Kings" (1927). Among his other files were "A Tale of Two Cities" (1935), "Mr. Deeds Goes to Town" (1935), "You Can't Take it With You" (1938), "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington" (1939), "The Devil and Mr. Webster" (1941), "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946), and "The Ten Commandments" (1956). He also appeared in Billy Wilder's "Sunset Blvd."
