Center Point - Henry William Gerhold,57, Route One, Center Point, and employee of the Crawford Quarry Co and who also farmed in the Palo vicinity most of his life, died Sunday following a long illness. He was born Dec 8, 1912 at Palo and was married to Esther Reding Dec 11, 1936 at Rock Island. He was a member of the St John's Lutheran Church, Center Point, and of the Chauffeurs Teamsters and Helpers Local 238. Surviving in addition to his wife, are 3 daughters, Mrs Harold Thompson, Cedar Rapids; Mrs Alan Behrens, Atkins; and Cheryl Gerhold at home; a son, Henry John Gerhold, at home; his father, Henry C Gerhold; 2 sisters, Mrs Karl Kray and Miss Erma Gerhold, and a brother, Eldred Gerhold, all of Cedar Rapids; and 10 grandchildren. Services will be conducted at St John's Lutheran Church, Center Point, at 3 pm Wednesday. Burial: Cedar Memorial Cemetery.
