Glenn Cherryholmes, 87, of Crawfordsville, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 1977, at Henry County Memorial Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. He had been ill for the past two weeks.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Jones Funeral Home in Washington, with the Rev. Fred Richardson officiating. Burial will be in the Crawfordsville Cemetery. The family will be at the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. for visitation.
Mr. Cherryholmes was born Jan. 27, 1890, near Crawfordsville the son of Dean and Jennie Crooks Cherryholmes. He was reared and educated at Crawfordsville. On Oct. 11, 1931, he married Hazel Hamil Welch at Monmouth, ILL. She died Oct 15, 1969. He was a retired farmer and a mechanic at Fletcher Motor in Crawfordsville for several years and was a veteran of World War I having served in the U.S. Army.
.....He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mayme Fletcher and Margaret Richardson; and two brothers, Ross and Lawrence Cherryholmes.
