OCALA - Dr. Samuel D. Holland, 58, a veterinarian with Ocala Square Animal Clinic, died Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
A native of Bartow, he came here from Hawthorn in 1979. Mr. Holland was a member of Maricamp Road Church of Christ, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. A playwright, he was very active with the Ocala Civic Theater.
Sam graduated from Gainesville High School (GHS) in 1965. He was the vice president of his class in his senior year and was a member of Key Club (also serving as its vice president in his senior year), Latin Club and Student Council.
