Obituary
Carolyn June Thornburg, 44, died Tuesday at her residence. She was born Oct. 7, 1941, in Sage, Ark.
She attended Yuma schools and graduated from Yuma High in 1959. A baker at O.C. Johnson School, she was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, taught Sunday School for the handicapped and was a member of the Arizona School Food Service Association, where she served as State President from 1983-1985.
A resident of Yuma since 1951, she is survived by her husband Edward of the couple's home at 3116 Elm St.; parents Mr. and Mrs. Powell Bone of Yuma; son Michael of Yuma; daughters Stephanie Richards of Phoenix and Leslie Thornburg of Yuma; brothers Johnny and Don Bone of Tucson and Jerald and Robert Bone of Phoenix.
Friends may call 5-9 this evening at Kammann Mortuary. Funeral services will be at 1 pm. Thursday at Kammann Mortuary chapel with Rev. Nathan Pillow, Director of Evangelism of the Arizona Southern Baptist Association, officiating. Burial will be in Desert Lawn.
Pallbearers will be Dave Shumpert, Jerry Anderson, Val Crane, Pete Lawhon, Dee Moser and Dennis Brown. Honorary bearers are Donny and Clifford Thornburg, Wendell Freeze and Jim Hallmark. Memorials in lieu of rememberences are suggested for the First Southern Baptist Church in care of the mortuary.

Joined in Heaven with her granddaughter, Suzanne Nicole Bever and her great grandson Keagan Isaac Bever.
