Jean Kathleen Sites, 74, of Petersburg, W.Va., died Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2007, at the Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Sites was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Pansy, W.Va., and was the daughter of the late Lester D. Kesner and Glenna Judy Kesner.

She graduated from Petersburg High School in 1953. She and her husband built the Petersburg Dairy Queen in 1954, and it was operated by the Sites family for 51 years. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Petersburg.

Her husband, Linton H. Sites, preceded her in death May 29, 1991.

Survivors include a son, Michael C. Sites of Petersburg, W.Va.; a brother, Paul Kesner of Petersburg; eight nieces and five nephews.

The Rev. Larry Cantu and the Rev. Dr. Fred Soltow Jr. will conduct the funeral 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, W.Va.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, W.Va.

Memorial donations may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 385, Petersburg, WV 26847.
