MILLINOCKET – Claude Harlan "Bud" Lombard, 70, husband of Dianne (Evrard) Lombard, died March 10, 2011, at a Portland health care facility. He was born Nov. 5, 1940, in Lincoln, the son of Claude and Jean (Dickinson) Lombard.

Claude graduated from Caribou High School, Class of 1960. He worked as an electrician and was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers No. 567. He was a member of Nolsemic Lodge, Millinocket, and Anah Temple Shrine, Bangor, where he was a member of the Academations Unit. Claude was a master Maine guide and an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed traveling, was a handyman and was a friend to all.

In addition to his wife, Dianne of Portland, and his mother, Jean, of Millinocket, he is survived by two daughters, Mary Stewart and her husband, Brian, of Pine Valley, Calif., and Judy Pelkey and her husband, Clyde, of Glenburn; a brother, Merton Lombard and his wife, Carolyn, of Donnelly, Idaho; three grandchildren, Julia Pelkey, Donna Pelkey and Emily Stewart; three step-children, Wayne and Jennifer Dancause of Windsor, Va., Brian Dancause of Portland and Rebecca and Christopher Morin of Falmouth; three step-grandchildren, Anna and Audrey Morin and Zachary Dancause; a half sister, Brenda Crandall of Greenville; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Claude Lombard, in 2002.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. Monday, March 21, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, with the Rev. Terry Given officiating. A reception will be held immediately after the service at the funeral home. Spring interment will be at Millinocket Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Katahdin Area Support Group or Millinocket Congregational Church – Women's Fellowship. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
