He was born in Harriett, the son of Charlie C. and Annis Horton Marshall. He was a resident of Newton County for six years, prior resident of Harrison for 24 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jasper. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1952 and then went into the U. S. Air Force that same year. He married Mary Beth Pope on Dec. 14, 1969. He was a Little League coach for 27 years in three different states. He was a master electrician and contractor and was a Baptist minister and Sunday School Superintendent and teacher. His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, 2 sons, a daughter, one sister, one brother, and 8 grandchildren.

He was 68 when he died at his home in Marble Falls, Arkansas. I have a copy of his obit.
