Francis Bruce McCall was the 3rd of 5 children, the 2nd son, of Levi Holmes McCall and Mary E. "Molly" Hughey. He married Allie Mae Rogers on 28 Oct 1908 at the home of the bride in the Shiloh community (Tattnall County, Ga). The Rev. H. L. Pearson performed the ceremony.

Bruce's wife, Allie, died in 1966.

Bruce died on Saturday, 12 Jun 1982 at Tattnall Memorial Hospital, Reidsville, Tattnall County, Ga. He was 96 years of age, a retired carpenter, and a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church. Funeral services were held Sunday at 3 pm at the McCall-Trapnell Funeral Home in Reidsville with (Rev.) Dr. Clarence Knight officiating. He was buried in the Reidsville Cemetery.

Bruce was survived by his wife, Catherine L. McCall, 2 sons (Lamar in Reidsville,Ga; Albert in Jacksonville, FL), daughter (Jo Morgan, Jacksonville, FL), 2 sisters (Maggie, Loyce), 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Lamar McCall, Jr., Frank McCall, Jr., Dean McCall, Clayton Morgan, Craig Cox, and Carl Cox.
