Emile Louis, known as Louis, was the son of Henri & Catherine Eugenia (Tournia) DeBeaufort (both born in France).
His first marriage was to Mary Riley on August 8, 1900. Their children were: Mary Louise, Leo Henry, Ernest A., Katherine U., Rosa M., & Thomas J. She died on June 5, 1943. His second marriage was to Mary Belle Norton in 1945.
Louis died in 1961 and was buried beside his first wife.
"DeBeauford Rites in Weatherford
Funeral for Louis DeBeauford, 83, father of Mrs. L.E. Vaughn of 942 Blair St., will be held in Weatherford. Mr. DeBeauford died Thursday at home in Weatherford.
Born Aug. 10, 1877, he moved to Weatherford from Dallas County when he was a young man. He married Mary Riley Aug. 8, 1900. She died in 1943 and he married Mary Belle Norton in 1945.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Vaughn, Mrs. Rose Meriders of Dallas, and Louise DeBeauford; three sons, I. B. of Pensacola, Fla., E.A. of Evansville, Ind., and T.J. of Weatherford; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Cotten-Bratten Funeral Chapel at Weatherdord.
Officiating will be the Rev. H.P. Roberts, Jr., rector of All Saints Episcopal Church at Weatherford. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery there."
