YORKTOWN--Frederick Clifford "Tim" Timmons, Sr., 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior, Saturday evening, April 21, 2007 at his residence after an extended illness.

Mr. Timmons was born in Muncie, December 30, 1921, the son of Benjamin Harrison and Hazel (Massey) Timmons. He graduated from Muncie Central High School and was a member of the Old Fashioned Baptist Church, Yorktown.

He was self-employed and retired in 1971.

Mr. Timmons is survived by his seven children, Rita Hunt (husband-John), Myron D. Timmons, Patty Garrett (husband-Mike), Ann Williams (husband-Larry), Fred Jr. "Tim" (wife-Leslie), Evelyn Griminger (husband-Rick), Springfield, IL, Kirs Pittsenbarger (husband-Ken); Jean Timmons, the mother of his children; a brother, Jerry Timmons (wife-Barbara); and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Howard Timmons; two sisters, Jeanette Whitman and Berniece Carpenter.

Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 W. Isanogel Road, with Rev. Terry Dobbs officiating. Graveside services will be private.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Cancer Services of Delaware County, Little Red Door, 401 W. Jackson St., Muncie, IN 47305 or Ball Memorial Hospital Commerative Gifts, Hospice, 2401 W. University Ave., Muncie, IN 47303.
