Mrs. Florence V. Cassell, 93, Dies At South Bend
Mrs. Florence V. Cassell, widow of James Cassell, who lived most of her married life in the Remington area, died at the home of her daughter, in South Bend at 6:40 a.m. Sunday. She was 93 years of age.
Born in Hillsville, Va., November 17, 1875, she was married on her 22nd birthday anniversary to James Cassell and moved to Remington shortly thereafter. He died in 1938.
She was a member of the United Methodist church of Remington.
Surviving are a son, George, of South Bend; four daughters, Mrs. Beulah Thurston, of Largo, Fla.; Mrs. Sadie P. Elliot and Mrs. Marie Rhodes of South Bend; and Mrs. Jesse (Jeanette) Hardebeck of Remington; two grandchidren and one great-grandchild. Six brothers and sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral services were to be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Stitz funeral home, Remington, with Rev. Milton Persons officiating. Interment was to be in Remington cemetery.
