Anna was the daughter of Francis "Frantz" Brossman, 1693 Germany-1749 Berks Co., PA, & Anna Clara Elizabeth Rudolph, 1700 Heidelberg, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany-1750 Bedford Co., PA.

Anna married Hans Jacob Russell (1728-1798) in 1753 in Berks Co., PA and they had at least 10 children. They were: George 1757, Margaret 1758, Maria Saloma Salley 1761, John Jacob (1754), Henry (1767), Elizabeth (1769), Johannes "John" Rosel (1771), Rosanna (1772), David (1775), & Catherine (1777).
