Hiram H. Nease, 73, of Bloomingdale, a former East Liverpool resident, died Friday night in the Ohio Valley Hospital at Steubenville, where he had been a patient 13 days.
A stationary engineer, he formerly was employed by the Hall China Company, the Potters Supply Company, and other plants in the East Liverpool district, where he resided 45 years. His last work before retirement five years ago was with the Kaul Clay Co. at Toronto.
He was born in Mason City, W. Va., a son of Lewis S. Nease and Cannie Roller Nease.
He leaves his widow, Mrs Mary Gassett Nease, at home; a daughter, Mrs Sue Frontz of East Liverpool; two sons, E. Mark Nease of Pittsburgh and John L. Nease of Negley; a sister, Mrs Bessie Arnott of McArthur; seven step-daughters, Mrs Kathryn Leonard, Mrs Marry Cox, Mrs Olive J Wright, and Mrs Doris J Long, all of Steubenville, Mrs Janice Agin of Willoughby, Mrs Sarah Isabell DeWalt of Unionport and Mrs Eileen McGee of Thompson; two step-sons, Vaughn Gossett of Wintersville and Isaac H Gossett of Steubenville; three grandchildren and one great grandchild.
The body was taken to the MacLean Funeral Home in Wellsville, where rites will be held Tuesday at 2 pm by the Rev L E Evans, pastor of the First Christian Church of Wellsville. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery in Wellsville.
Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon and tonight.

Mary Elizabeth (Satow) McGurren on November 3, 1932 in Brooke County, West Virginia. They divorced. He married 3. Mary May (Paxton) Gossett on April 12, 1946 in Columbiana County, Ohio.
