Glenn Harold Dempsey, 83, of Lingleville passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011 in Stephenville.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, March 12, 2011 in the Stephenville Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Parks officiating Interment will follow at the Lingleville East End Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Glenn was born September 3, 1927 in Mullin, Mills County to the late Joseph and Maude Bean Dempsey. He married Barbara Ruth NeSmith on November 15, 1947 in Brownwood and she preceded him in death on February 13, 1990. G.H. has resided in Erath County since 1958 after previously living in Abilene. He was the owner and operator of a service station and was a Lingleville school bus driver for 30 years.
Glenn is survived by children, Glenda and Jerry Elledge of College Station, Gary and Teresa Dempsey of Lingleville, Greg and Candace Dempsey, Barbara and James Williams of Lingleville, and Jake and Amie Dempsey; sister, Maxine Carter of Blanket; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sisters-in-law, Mary Clarke of Marble Falls, Audrey Collins of Crowell, Olene Tyler of Belton, and Bobby Sue Dempsey of White Deer, Greg and Candace Dempsey of Merkel.
