Mrs. Mary Trimmer
A service was held Monday at the Brown Funeral Home, Livonia, for Mrs. Mary Trimmer of Hemlock, who died Friday, Mar. 23, 1962. In the Wirth Nursing Home in Dansville after an illness of eight weeks. The Rec. Erland Lilly, pastor of the Hemlock Baptist Church, officiated at the service and burial was in Union Cemetery, Livonia.
Mrs. Trimmer was born Dec. 26, 1872, at the Limekiln, north of Lima, the daughter and last of 10 children of John and Ellen Smiley Green. Following her marriage to Charles Trimmer they moved to the Trimmer family homestead in Hemlock, where she was living at the time she became ill. Three children were born to the couple. Two years ago Mrs. Trimmer was given special recognition as a 50-year member of the Hemlock Baptist Church and for her many acts of service. She held the office of superintendent of the Women's Hall at the Hemlock Fair for 35 years.
Surviving are a son Fred Trimmer of Hemlock; two granddaughters, Mrs. Richard Hass of Hemlock and Mrs. Irene Reynolds of Wayland, seven great grandchildren; 13 nieces and nephews.
HEMLOCK
The sympathy of the community is extended to the family of Mrs. Mary Trimmer, who died last Friday morning. Mrs. Trimmer was a good neighbor, good friend and a longtime member of the local Baptist church, which she attended as long as health would allow.
