Ryan Lee Holland, age 25, the beloved son of Ricky Holland and Jacqueline Urey Holland, went home to his Lord and Savior on March 1, 2011. Ryan and his mother were listing to Christian healing CDs when he became ill and passed. Though his time here was short, Ryan was an angel here on earth. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He had an infectious smile and he will forever be remembered as a loyal University of Michigan fan from an early age. Ryan was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 15, 1985. He attended Walled Lake Western High School in Walled Lake, Michigan. While in high school, Ryan was selected by counselors and teachers to be a member of the Positive Peer Influence (PPI) program, where he was responsible for resolving conflicts between the male students at his high school. After graduating from high school, Ryan enrolled in the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. He studied Biology and Sociology and graduated in 2009. After graduation he relocated to Alpharetta, Georgia. He worked as a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreen's and became certified as a Pharmacy Technician while undergoing Chemotheraphy and Radiation treatments. Ryan had plans to attend medical school.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, J. Daniel Urey, Sr. Ryan is survived by his parents, Ricky L. Holland and Jacqueline Urey Holland; sister, Courtney Holland; grandparents, Martha Chea, Clinton Nelson and Barbara Nelson; aunts, uncles and a host of other relatives and many wonderful friends. Friends are invited to a visitation with the family on Friday, March 11, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Carmichael Funeral Home, 2950 King Street, Smyrna, GA. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Faith Christian Center, 3059 South Cobb Drive, Smyrna, GA. Pastor Joel E. Gregory, officiating. Interment, Arlington Memorial Park.
