David James Fox, age 57, of Grand Rapids, MN died Wednesday, March 02, 2011 at Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital in Grand Rapids.
David was born in 1953 to Howard and Bernice Fox in Grand Rapids, MN. He graduated from Greenway High School in 1972 and then attended Bemidji State University for computer programming. David lived in Hopkins, MN for a time before returning to Grand Rapids where he was employed by Blandin Paper Company for 20 years. He moved to Duluth, MN and was employed with KBJR television station for a short time and moved back to Grand Rapids to retire. David enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping, camping and traveling. He also enjoyed operating a ham radio and working with electronics.
Preceding him in death were his parents and brothers, William and Richard Fox.
David is survived by his longtime companion, Kim Robertson of Grand Rapids, MN; Kim's children, Steven Gagnon of Burnsville, MN and Sara Gagnon and her son Reid of Grand Rapids, MN; three sisters, Judy (Gerald) Piekkola of Bovey, MN, Karen (Martin) Wozny of San Diego, CA and Nona (Robert) Frey of Grand Rapids; two brothers, Curt (Susan) Fox of Dayton, MN and Kevin (Pat) Fox of Cheyenne, WY; one sister-in-law, Sandy Fox of Deer River, MN; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 5, 2011 from 12:00 Noon until the 1:00 PM Funeral Service at Rowe Funeral Home in Grand Rapids. Rev. Mark Shuey will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Coleraine, MN.
