EAST GULL LAKE — Lorraine Seaman, of East Gull Lake, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 4, 2011, after a short battle with cancer. Lorraine was born in Little Falls, Minn., and graduated from Brainerd High School. She was an avid volunteer at St. Joseph's Medical Center, belonged to St. Joseph's guild and taught religious education for six years at St. Andrew's Catholic Church. Lorraine was an active member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Brainerd for many years. Lorraine loved living in the house at the lake and enjoyed all the conversations she and Robert "Bobby" had on the deck with friends and family.

Lorraine is preceded in death by Robert C. Seaman (husband); Maurice D. Cain (husband); Michael M. Cain (son); brothers "Doc" Havnes and James Havnes; Roseanna Marie Havnes (mother); and Lauritz Havnes (father).

Lorraine will be greatly missed by her surviving daughter, Nanci (Gerald) Lind; and grandchildren, Jason Lind, Jessica Lind-Lamoureaux, Nicole Lind; great-granddaughter, Kayla Ann Lemieux; grandsons-in-law, Henri Lamoureaux and Anthony Lemieux; stepdaughters, Cheryl Frear, Cindy Smalley, Susan Vold and their families.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Monday, March 14 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church, 1108 Willow Street, Brainerd, Minn., with visitation at Nelson-Doran Funeral Home, 202 8th Avenue NE, Brainerd, Minn., on Sunday, March 13 from 4:30-6:30 p.m., with parish prayers at 6 p.m. Visitation will continue the hour before services at the church on Monday. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.
