Funeral services for Mrs. Delores Marie Armand Laborde will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church in Bordelonville at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, 2011 with Monsignor Steve Testa officiating. Interment will be in St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Bordelonville. Arrangements are entrusted to Hixson Brothers Funeral Home in Marksville.
Mrs. Laborde, age 79, of Bordelonville, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 in Bordelonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Ida Bordelon Armand.
She is survived by Vernon Laborde; three sons, Jimmy Laborde of Bordelonville, Barney Laborde of Hessmer, Ricky Laborde of Missouri; two daughters, Goldie Brewer of Walker, Jill Lemoine of Moreauville; seventeen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held in St. Peter Church Hall in Bordelonville on Wednesday, March 9, 2010 from 3:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will resume at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday until shortly before funeral service time.
A Christian Wake Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. in St. Peter Church Hall in Bordelonville on Wednesday.
Pallbearers for the funeral service will be Blaine Guidroz, Gregory Lemoine, Blake Laborde, Justin Lemoine, Corey Baronne, and Kenneth Wilson.
