William Franklin "Frank" Winecoff was a son of Green Lee Winecoff and his wife Sarah Fink. While his death cert. says he was born in Iredell Co. in 1874, his WW I registration & the 1900 census say 1873.
Frank was twice married. Around 1897, he married Rowena Florence Tucker (1876-1923), of Union County, North Carolina. After her death, sometime in the late 1920s, he married Martha Jane "Janie" DeWeese (1881-1965). There were three sons born of the first marriage: Lee Henry Winecoff (1898-1964), William Albert Winecoff (1901-1992) and George Franklin Winecoff (1912-1970). There were no children of the second marriage.
