He married Clara Leah Stringfellow, June 12, 1923, she died November 14, 1953. Married Melba F. Brown, August 4, 1963. Retired police officer, Salt Lake City Police Dept.As member of LDS Church, served in all Priesthood positions. Temple View Stake Mission President, Bishop, McKinley Ward, Branch President of Temple View Senior Citizens Branch, served 17 years as a Salt Lake Temple Ordinance worker and as a missionary with his wife Melba to South Texas Mission.
Survived by wife, Melba, children, Elise (Raymond C.) Bowers, Vaughn L. (Peggy) Terry, Glenis (Joel W.) Burdette, Douglas S.(Corrie) Terry, Margene (Don S.) Wiest, Janee (W.C.) Spencer, 35 grandchildren and 77 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by six sisters, four brothers and a son-in-law, Joel W. Burdette. This dear sweet man will be loved and missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 12 Noon, October 29,1991 in the McKinley LDS Ward, 1863 South West Temple. Friends may call at Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 So. Highland Drive on Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the Church on Tuesday 10:15-11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment Salt, Lake City Cemetery.
