Mrs. Millis died Aug. 24, 1994, of cancer at age 92.
She was born Oct. 24, 1901, in Everton, Mo. Her maiden name was Bell and she was raised in Meridian, Idaho.
She married Phillip J. in 1920. The couple moved to Oregon in 1925 and to Vernonia in 1926. Mr. Millis died in 1943.
Mrs. Millis was a member of the Vernonia First Christian Church for more than 62 years.
Surviving are her sons, Phil of Aurora, Colo., Max of Portland and Gerald of Philomath; daughters, Dorothy Wilson of Missoula, Mont., Faye Sword of Vernonia and Mary Weller of Dallas, Texas; brother, Tom C. Bell of Kent, Wash.; 18 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
