Jeff Stanley, 61, of Louisville, formerly of Grayson, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011.

He was born May 15, 1949, in Ashland, a son of the late Woodrow and Verna Riffe Stanley.

Jeff was well-known in the coal industry. He was a former superintendent of PNC Coal (Penn Holding), Shaker Coal, Addington, Davis & Burton and Ashland Coal. Jeff's hobbies and passions were boating, music, fishing and watching old westerns.

His survivors include his wife, Gypsy Henderson Stanley of Louisville; a son, Jeffrey Lynn Stanley of Louisville; a daughter, Crystal (Kevin) Jones of Louisville; a sister, Dottie (Richard) Easterling of Grayson; a brother, Randy Lynn Stanley of Grayson; three grandchildren, Alexis Schrecker, Chloe Jones and Camilla Jones; aunts Patty (Ronnie) Prichard of Grayson, Mabyn Hopkins, Jean Angel, Myrtle Smith and Avanail Slone, all of Ashland, Mary Lou Riffe of Rush and Augusta Stanley of Clyde, Ohio; a special sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Denise and Ronnie Baker of Grayson; and an uncle, Harold Slone of Ashland.

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12, 2011, at Malone Funeral Home in Grayson, with Eddie Wiler officiating. Burial will be in East Carter County Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday and after 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
