MRS. FRANK D. BAKER DIES AT AGE OF 81
Resident of Wilson Chapel Area Many Years
Mrs. Frank D. Baker, 81, died Tuesday at 7 p.m. at her home, 111 East Golf avenue. She was a lifetime resident of Wapello county.
Mrs. Baker was born May 23, 1860 in Ottumwa, the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth (Wilson) Neil. She married Frank D. Baker November 16, 1887. She lived in the Wilson chapel community north of Ottumwa until 1925, when she and her husband moved to Ottumwa. Her husband preceded her in death in 1940. She was a member of the Wilson Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Albert R. Bluhm, Mrs. Margaret Scott, both of Ottumwa and Mrs. William L. Egglestone, Fremont; two sons, D. Neil Baker and L. Taylor Baker of Ottumwa; and a sister, Mrs. Margaret J. McCune, Ottumwa, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at the Lester Jay funeral home with the Rev. Lloyd C. Snyder, pastor of the Wilson Presbyterian church in charge. Burial will be in the family lot in the Ottumwa cemetery.
