Elliott, June 19 [1931] -- Samuel A Brown, 69, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs Mannie Brown McKenzie, very suddenly. While he had been suffering from heart trouble his death came as a distinct shock to all in the community.
He was born in Williamsburg County where he lived for many years but recently had made his home with his daughter.
Mr Brown is survived by two sons, S O Brown of Washington, DC, and A K Brown of Clarkton, NC; two daughters, Mrs Mannie McKenzie and Mrs L D Welch and 18 grandchildren.
