Orezen Wright, 83, of Waco died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2 at China Spring Cemetery with Rev. David Leibham officiating. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Thursday with visitation to follow at OakCrest Funeral Home.
Mr. Wright was born Sept. 9, 1918 in Church Point, LA to Edward and Vina Oliver Wright. He married Jean Whipple in 1947. Mr. Wright served 20 years in the Air Force and afer retiring, worked in construction. He was a Catholic and a member of the VFW.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Irvin Wright, Rodney Wright and Ray Wright; son, Robert Lee Wright; and a sister, Melba Jordan.
Mr. Wright is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean of Waco; daughters, Bobbie Parker of Liberty, Jerry Holt of Waco, JoAnn Morena or Hewitt and Linda Gibson and Dorothy Wright, both of Waco; sons, Rodney Wright of Chalfort, PA., and Edward Wright of Waco; sisters, Virgie Borque of Beaumont, Ethel Smith of Vidor and Betty Schmidt of Gonzales, LA; brothers, Gurney Wright of Vidor, James Wright and Alfred Wright, both of Beaumont; 15 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
