Tyler Michael Steele, 16, of Bloomfield, Iowa died March 6, 2011 in Bloomfield. He was born March 18, 1994 the son of Kimberly Steele and David Butler, stepfather Rick Lindsey. He was a junior at Davis County High School. Tyler loved skateboarding, fishing, playing video games, being outdoors, and hanging out with his friends and family.
He is survived by his mother, Kimberly Lindsey and step-father Rick Lindsey of Bloomfield; his father, David Butler of Ottumwa, Iowa; four brothers, Dakota Steele, Johnathan Lindsey, Hunter Lindsey, Chase Lindsey all of Bloomfield; three sisters, Mariena Butler, Chelsey Butler, Sharise Butler all of Paradise, California; a grandmother, Judy Steele of Blakesburg, Iowa; and a step-grandmother, Marlynn Lindsey of Ottumwa.
He was preceded in death by his great-aunt, Helen Williams.
Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Bloomfield United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Shipley officiating. Burial will be in the Drakesville Cemetery in Drakesville, Iowa. Visitation will begin after 9 am Thursday with the family present to greet friends from 5-7 pm at the Wagler Funeral Home in Bloomfield. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to his family.
