Catherine Seymour Bruce, 93, formerly of Fairfield Highlands, and a long-time resident of Gulf Shores, died Thursday, April 12, 2012. Catherine was a volunteer at South Baldwin RMC for several years and ranked her experiences there among the happiest of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Guy Roche Bruce. She is survived by her sister, Rose Marie Lawwill of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Becky McElroy, Sunriver, Ore., and Kathy Bruce, Prescott, Ariz.; two grandchildren, Molly McElroy, Seattle, Wash., and Dr. Guy Bruce McElroy, Redmond, Ore; and three great-grandchildren, Josh, Jessie and Colin McElroy, Redmond, Ore. A private interment will be in Pine Rest Memorial Park. Arrangements by Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Homes, Foley.
