∼FORMER SENATOR BROWNLEE DIES IN BURNET AT 76
BURNET, June 24 -- Former State Senator, J. Houghton BROWNLEE, 76, died Monday in a Burnet hospital.
He had served two four-year terms in the Texas Senate and had practiced law for many years in Austin before moving to Burnet in 1946 to being ranching.
BROWNLEE was graduated from the University of Texas Law School in 1911.
He is survived by two sons, J. Houghton BROWNLEE, Jr. of Austin and Curtis BROWNLEE of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Mrs. Norman BARKER and Mrs. Thad HUTCHESON of Austin; a sister, Mrs. Walter S. BENSON of Austin; and fourteen grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. in Burnet.
