DIED at his home in Jackson township, Sunday, Sept. 11, 1887, Daniel M. Gale, aged 64 years, 2 months and 5 days.

Deceased was born in Worthington, Ohio, and in 1835 went to Lima, LaGrange county, Ind., to live with his uncle, Thomas Gale. In the spring of 1836, he came, with his uncle, to reside in Steuben county, hence was one among the very first settlers of Angola, and drove a team to haul lumber from Lima to build the second frame house erected in Angola. For over fifty years he has resided continuously in the county, living an honest, unpretentious life and died respected by all.

Funeral services were held at the family residence on Tuesday, Sep. 13, conducted by Rev. F. P. Arthur. Burial at Flint cemetery.
