Graveside services for SFC (Ret.)Merl Allen, 66, Leesville, were held Thursday, at Legion Memorial Cemetery near Newellton with the Rev. Paul Perry officiating.
Mr. Allen died Tuesday at the Franklin Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Katherine Allen, Leesville: three daughters, Mary Cloud, MA; Linda Kilnick, WA and Susan Davis, TX; one son, Merl Allen Jr., WA; one sister, Sallie Smith, Newellton; Three brothers, Bill Allen, OK; Ray Allen, Alexandria, LA; Rollie Allen, Monroe, LA.
