Mrs. Reuben Raney Dead -
Was 74 Years Old and Funeral will Be Tuesday-

The Death of Mrs. Nancy A. Raney, widow of the late Reuben Raney, occurred Sunday afternoon, March 17, 1918 at 5:15 o'clock at the home of her niece, Mrs. Joe Thomas, where she had been visiting and was taken sick only last Monday with pneumonia. She had been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. George Workman, six miles north of Centerville since the death of her husband four years ago.

The funeral will be held Tuesday at 2:00 o'clock at the George Workman home conducted by Rev. J.G. Staples of the Centerville Baptist Church, and Rev. George Swan of Plano. Burial will be at the Haines Cemetery.

Mrs. Raney came to this county with her parents when but three years old, so is one of the older residents. Her maiden name was Nancy A. Comerford. She was married forty-three years ago the past February to Reuben Raney. The only living child now is Mrs. George Workman, four being deceased. She also has some step children living.

The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church and devoted to religious beliefs and teachings. Her home was formerly in the country northeast of Centerville, but later they lived in Centerville some years, where Mr. Raney passed away.
