A memorial service for Jay Daniel Nix, 37, will be at 3:30 p.m. today, July 19, in Johnson Funeral Home. The Rev. Pete Miller will officiate. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.
Mr. Nix died in Pueblo, Colorado. He was an automotive mechanic.
Survivors are two sons, Sean and Darrell Hayes, both of Lake Charles; one daughter, Sherry Hayes of Lake Charles; two brothers, Ricky Nix of Westlake and Kenneth Nix of Tulsa, Ok., and one sister, Sharon Chamberlain of Moss Bluff.
If they wish, friends may make memorial donations to the homeless shelter of their choice, the family said.
