Martha was the daughter of David Clift and Louise Johnson. She married Samuel Barnett 1/Mar/1864 in Madison Co. KY. They had the following children: Margaret, Henry, John, Sarah, Sally, Charles, Lucinda, Owen, Lena, George, Ira, Jesse and Ernest. Her tombstone is no longer standing, it had fallen and was covered in leaves and vines by 1988. She did have one though and it was standing in 1949.
