Bessie Louise (Covington) (Brazil) Bayer was born on July 18, 1895 in Rutherford County, Tennessee, the daughter of Andrew Jackson Covington Jr (1849-1920) and Sarah Virginia "Jane" (Foster) Covington (1852-1910).
She was married 1st on September 20, 1913 in Davidson County to Milford S Brazil (ca 1895- ). Bessie was married 2nd on April 20, 1924 in Davidson County to Walter H "Dutch" Bayer (ca 1891- ), and they were later separated.
Living at 1159½ Broadway, Nashville, Bessie was suffering from manic depression and 41 years old when she died of exhaustion on October 25, 1936 at Davidson County Asylum.
Survivors included sisters Mrs Nancy Elizabeth (Covington) Covington (1870-1950), Mrs Mary Bryant (Covington) Webb (1881-1963) and Mrs Mattie Belle (Covington) Collier (1887-1952) and brothers Reverend A J Covington and Ed Covington.
Funeral Services were held at the chapel of Rollow & Harrington Funeral Home, and burial was on October 27th in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
