SUPPLY - Mr. John Paul "JP" Varnam, age 74, of Supply, died Saturday, March 22, 2003, at his residence.
Mr. Varnam was born in Brunswick County, September 30, 1928, and was the son of the late Jessie and Daisy Hewett Varnam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Varnam. Mr. Varnam was a member of Gospel Center Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran.
He is survived by a brother, Jackie Varnam of Supply; two sisters, Earlene Atkinson of Supply and Betty Bennett of Calabash; grandchildren, Connie Mintz Thaler, James Curtis Mintz, Ronnie Wayne Mintz, Laurie Mine; a step-son, James Howard Mintz of Shallotte; a step-daughter, Linda Stanley of Shallotte; numerous great-grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 25, 2003, at 1:00 PM at Gospel Center Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Doug Worley officiating.
