She was married to Mr Steeve in the Fatherland, and they lived there until their emigration to the United States in 1879, coming direct to Page county and settling on one of the county's fine farms. For thirty years Mrs Steeve had lived on this same old home farm. Seven children, with the husband, survive the mother. The funeral service was held at the home this afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by a short service at the grave in the German church cemetery, Rev Jaebker conducting the obsequies.
