Mrs. James Lindsay
WESTON'S MILLS -- Mrs. Adelaide Lindsay died Monday (March 25, 1957) at Helmuth, NY, following a long illness. She was one of the oldest residents of this area, having been born December 29, 1859 in Gang Mills, NY, and moved to this community in childhood.
Mrs. Lindsay was married to the late James Lindsay on Nov. 27, 1884.
She is survived by four sons: Ralph Lindsay, Binghamton; Robert Lindsay, San Diego, Calif,; Lewis Lindsay, Minneapolis, Minn., and Jospeh Lindsay, Portville; one daughter, Mrs. Ruth L. Smith, Bolivar; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Jessie Davie, Hornell.
Mrs. Lindsay was a member of the Methodist Church here, and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Portville.
Prayewr services will be conducted at the Guenther and Morton Funeral Home Thursday (Mar. 28, 1957) at 1:30; followed by the funeral services at the Methodist Church at 2 p.m. The Rev. Joseph Shipman will officiate. Burial will (sic) Portville.

Weston's Woman Laid At Rest
Funeral services for Mrs. Adelaide Lindsay, Weston's Mills, were held on Thursday afternoon at the St. Andrews Methodist church at Weston's Mills at 2:00. The Rev. Joseph Shipman, pastor of the church officiated.
Burial was in Chestnut Hill Cemetery.
The pall bearers were James Wilson, Jr., Claude Cradduck, Norman Witherell, Clyde Collins, Jack St. Clair and Archie Davis (Davie?).
