Mrs. Kate Ayers Musick, age 95, of Shiloh Church Road in the Lowell community, passed away Wednesday September 15, 2010. Mrs. Musick was born February 11, 1915 in Carroll County, Ga. to the late Benjamin Ayers and Della Yarborough Ayers. Mrs. Musick was a homemaker and a member of the Shiloh Methodist Church. Besides her parents Mrs. Musick was preceded in death by her husband James Herbert Musick to whom she was married to for 72 years; daughter June Baughtman; sisters Lena Brown, Odessa Shoemake, Maggie Huffman, Pearl Rainey, Vola Scoggins, Ruby Morrow; brothers John Ayers, Grady Ayers, Gilbert Ayers and Lowell Ayers and one grandson James Harold Musick, Jr. Survivors include son Archie "Earl" Musick of Carrollton; sons and daughter in-laws Jim & Judy Musick of Douglasville; Larry & Mildred Musick of Carrollton; Daughter & Son in-law Shelby & James Reeves of Jacksonville, FL.; grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday September 18, 2010 at 11:00 AM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with Rev. Joey Dedman officiating. Interment will follow in Liberty Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday September 17, 2010 from 7:00 PM till 9:00 PM. Messages of condolences maybe sent to the family at www.martin-hightower.com. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel has charge of the arrangements.
