John Buchanan was in the Airforce when I first met him, about 1960, dating June (my mother-in-law) in Reno, NV. I believe he was in the Intelligence section. After his discharge, he worked for Hughes Tool Company, both in Idaho and in Culver City, California. He and June moved to Anacortes, Washington in the early 1970s, and started their own business there.

John was active in the First Baptist Church in Anacortes, WA., and was also extremely active in the Masons. He belonged to the Masonic Lodge here in Anacortes, and was I believe a past Grand Master of The Fidalgo chapter. His father Edward was also a Mason.

He told me stories about growing up in Chicago...his father taking him to great baseball games at Wrigley Field, etc. His one remaining sister is still living in Florida...I'm still searching for his family information./ln

Per his family's wishes, his ashes were buried in the family plot in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Tampa, Hillsborough Co., Florida, with those of his Mother and Father.
