She graduated from J.P. McCaskey in 1954 and worked as a secretary for RCA, The School District of Lancaster, Colony Copy Products and East Hempfield Township. She was an actively involved member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Landisville. She formerly volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was a member of ABWA and Silver Threads.
Marian will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Linda M. wife of Louis A. DiPerna of Lancaster and Marilyn L. wife of Allen J. Perry of Landisville, and grandchildren Dominic M. (Anneliese) DiPerna, Rebecca M., companion of Travis Jackson, Amanda M. (Robert) Lighty, and Adam M. (Andrea) Perry and great grandchildren Arianna Jackson, Caidan Lighty, and Wyatt Perry. She was preceded in death by her son Michael L. Scott and a brother, Paul Benner.
Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to Celebrate her Life at the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 85 Brandt Blvd., Landisville, PA on Saturday May 7, 2016 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. JMe Lowden officiating. Interment will be held at the Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. The family will receive friends at The Groff Family Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc., W. Orange at Pine Sts., Lancaster, PA on Friday evening, May 6th, from 7:00 to 9:00 PM and at the church on Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service.
