Marian B. (Benner) Scott, 80, of Landisville, PA, died Tuesday morning at Lancaster General Hospital after suffering a massive stroke. Born in Lancaster, PA, she was the daughter of the late Paul H. and Elsie Hartman Benner. She was the wife of the late Leon E. Scott, who died in 2008. She will be happily spending her 60th anniversary in heaven with Leon on May 12.
She graduated from J.P. McCaskey in 1954 and worked as a secretary for RCA, The School District of Lancaster, Colony Copy Products and East Hempfield Township. She was an actively involved member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Landisville. She formerly volunteered with Meals on Wheels and was a member of ABWA and Silver Threads.
Marian will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Linda M. wife of Louis A. DiPerna of Lancaster and Marilyn L. wife of Allen J. Perry of Landisville, and grandchildren Dominic M. (Anneliese) DiPerna, Rebecca M., companion of Travis Jackson, Amanda M. (Robert) Lighty, and Adam M. (Andrea) Perry and great grandchildren Arianna Jackson, Caidan Lighty, and Wyatt Perry. She was preceded in death by her son Michael L. Scott and a brother, Paul Benner.
